Remembering Our Beloved Educator Who Taught Our Children in the Granite School District for 35yrs.

Carolyn Crofts Carolyn Crofts 1954 ~ 2009 Carolyn saw the world through clear and shining eyes. She was born September 17, 1954. In 35 years of teaching she opened the vision of hundreds of elementary school children and family members to great thoughts -the nobility of man - the way things should be and not how they are. She taught and lived giving and caring selflessly until her Heavenly Father called her home. There aren't words to describe our loss or the gain of those that await her now. She was born in Moorhead, Minnesota, the daughter of John W. Crofts Jr. and Lois (Connie) Crofts. Raised in Millbrae, CA and Salt Lake City she graduated from Skyline High School, the University of Utah and earned a Masters degree from Utah State University. She taught for 35 years at Hillside, West Kearns and Valley Crest Elementary schools. She brought lasting change to the lives she touched. She is survived by her parents, John W. Crofts Jr.(Pat) , and Connie Crofts, later divorced, by siblings, Kathleen Young, John Crofts(Marcia), Steven Crofts (Molly), Brian Crofts and Julianne Palma and ten nieces and nephews who all loved her with all their hearts. A celebration of her life will be held Tues. May 19th at the LDS Ward House located at 4113 W. 6200 So. West Jordan at 5:00 p.m. (follow the signs) where those whose lives she touched will share thoughts on the life of this admirable woman. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Primary Children's Hospital in her honor.
